Ahmed Attia, DO

Dr. Ahmed Attia received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by completing his residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital-South. He then furthered his surgical training by enrolling in an advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.

Dr. Attia is board certified in general surgery with the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and serves as a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He also specializes in minimally invasive/robotic surgical procedures, offering his patients the very latest options in surgical care. Additionally, Dr. Attia serves as the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Inspira Medical Center Vineland, which is also where his surgical cases are performed. Dr. Attia has performed over 5,000 laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, revision of gastric bypass and Lap Band placement procedures over his 15 years as a bariatric surgeon. Dr. Attia remains committed to caring for the patients of South Jersey and believes that through positive lifestyle changes, good nutritional habits, and of course bariatric surgery when appropriate, any patient can extend and improve their quality of life.
