David D Shersher, MD

David Shersher, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.S.S.O., is a thoracic surgeon at Inspira Medical Group. He received his medical degree from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He also completed a general surgery residency, thoracic surgery research fellowship and thoracic surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Illinois. Dr. Shersher is board certified by the American Board of General Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.




Dr. Shersher believes in treating every patient as if they were a member of his own family, providing compassionate, individualized care that fosters trust and long-term relationships. He partners with patients through open communication and shared decision-making, working collaboratively with a skilled team of specialists to ensure the safest and most effective care. By combining evidence-based best practices with advanced interventional tools and the latest minimally invasive technologies, Dr. Shersher delivers surgical care that is both precise and patient-centered.




When he is not working, Dr. Shersher enjoys volunteering with Twist Out Cancer, training for triathlons, traveling, attending theater and concerts and spending time with his family.
