David S. Shields, M.D., A.G.A.F., F.A.S.G.E., is a gastroenterology specialist with Inspira Medical Group in Vineland, NJ. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Penn Medicine’s Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Penn Medicine’s Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shields is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Shields is an absolute blessing to the medical profession!!! He actually makes me feel like family and I'm important!!! I literally trust him with my life!!! The Cumberland County community will experience a sad loss when he retires! I'm so grateful that I had an opportunity to be under his medical care! Kudos to Dr. Shields!
