Elaine Cheng, M.D., is a general surgeon at Inspira Medical Group General and Vascular Surgery Woodbury. She earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed her residency in general surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital—Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Cheng specializes in abdominal transplant surgery, robotic surgery, cholecystectomy, hernia surgery and skin and soft tissue surgery. She is a member of the Association of Women Surgeons and The Transplantation Society. Dr. Cheng has published many articles and has earned the Intestinal Transplant Association Young Investigator Award. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Cheng believes in developing personalized care plans for each of her patients, aiming for the most positive outcomes and minimal recovery times. Dr Cheng I give an 11 if I could Amazing bedside manner , so thorough and helpful . Extremely knowledgeable.Your phone staff gets negative 1 they were horrible . I don't know if I will be able to get in touch with Dr Cheng with how unprofessional and rude they are

Dr. Elaine Chen is an excellent and compassionate physician. She focused on treating me as a person, not just my medical condition.I had an umbilical hernia and an adjacent fatty tissue mass. Dr. Chen reduced the hernia during the appointment and clearly explained that since neither issue was bothering me, surgery was entirely optional.I am grateful that she did not pressure me into an unnecessary or costly surgical procedure. Her priority is clearly the patient's comfort and health, which makes her an exceptional doctor and surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Cheng by Dr. Magnet. The dr. saw the "angry" mess on my back & took immediate action. She knocked it out of the ballpark like "Schwager!" Go Phillies!

Doctor Cheng made me feel very comfortable, she has a plan and I feel great about her plan, the only thing is I didn't tell her that I don't handle pain well at all, that's why I've been putting it off
