I was there because I had recently had a pulmonary embolism. The dr came in and looked at my chart, saw that I use a cpap machine and spent the next 20-30 minutes discussing everything possible about my cpap. I was very anxious after only being out of the hospital for less than 48 hours. I did not schedule an appointment to discuss my cpap (which I've been using with zero problems for over 10 years!) Also, the Dr informed me that I really didn't need to see a pulmonologist, but that is what my discharge papers recommended. I would say he spent less than 10 minutes discussing my new condition. I have a sister that died from a PE and am very scared about this. I will not be seeing this doctor again.
