About The Provider
MaryAnn D’Arrigo, M.S.N., A.P.N.-C., is an advanced nurse practitioner at Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill. After receiving her associate’s degree in nursing from Cumberland County College, MaryAnn received her nursing degree from the University of Delaware and later, completed her master’s degree at Rutgers University. MaryAnn is a board-certified women’s health care nurse practitioner and is certified by the state of New Jersey as an advanced practice nurse.
MaryAnn has dedicated her nursing career to upholding a compassionate and patient-centered care model—she believes nothing is more important than making time to sit, listen and relate to every patient. This care model was reflected in her volunteer efforts following 9/11. Here, MaryAnn joined workers at Saint Paul's Chapel, located directly across from the World Trade Center site, to serve food to hundreds of rescue workers searching through the ruins for survivors.
As an advocate of preventive health, MaryAnn is committed to staying up-to-date on evidence-based practice medicine so she can inform her patients about the importance of early detection and deliver the care they deserve.
A fun fact about MaryAnn is that she once completed the three-day, 60-mile Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure—the world’s largest fundraiser event for breast cancer.

This provider rushed the appointment. She did not care about the concerns I had at the end of the appointment. She just came in to do my yearly check up and to get out. She was not directly disrespectful I'd say she was nice As far as the way that she spoke to me and her tone, but you can tell when someone is just here for one thing, and one thing only and she did not care for my concerns about a breast reduction. She didn't even let me finish explaining why I felt I needed one. She made assumptions and she cut me off. Toward the end of the appointment, she was about to leave the room and I stopped her because I thought she would've brought it up to me because I told the nurse that I wanted to discuss that as well and I assumed that she would have noted that, but she didn't even tell me that she was testing me for STDs I wasn't sure if it was part of the yearly check up, but I know that I wanted her to explain what she was doing before she did it and she just came in saying that she was there for a Pap smear because she saw how old I was and that's all she was pretty much Expecting to do. She did say that she tested me as well but I didn't know I told her I was scared and she told me it wouldn't hurt too much, but she didn't tell me exactly how it was going to happen. She just had me physically be ready and told it to relax, and although she was just a bit reassuring and calm, she did not explain to me what was going on from her perspective when she was doing this with me. When she began the Pap smear, I told her to stop and to explain what she was going to do before she did it and it upset me that I had to ask in the first place. I have had intercourse before obviously, but when it comes to doing certain things to my body, I'd like to know what's going on especially because I have had some traumatizing things happen to me. I would not want to bring that up during an appointment, but I would think that she would take that into consideration, considering she comes across lots of different patients every day. But when she was about to leave, I decided to mention my concerns about breast reduction because I have a list of symptoms that bother me and makes me uncomfortable, and I only was able to list one or two things because I was already a bit nervous about how to bring it up to her And she already looked like she didn't care she seemed as if it wasn't a big deal. She said she wouldn't be able to do anything I would have to go to my PCP about it and I would have to have more symptoms like back pain and a migraine which I have no idea what a migraine has to do with the size of your breast. Not everybody has the same symptoms and she didn't even let me finish and I didn't want to make it awkward so I just said okay But it made me very upset. I'm not too comfortable, expressing my concerns to her. I only wanted to talk to her about it so that she could document these things because I know in order for that to happen. I need to have these issues documented and she didn't even at least tell me that she would do that. I didn't show it to her, but I left very upset and uncomfortable.
